This and that

Hey You.  You missed me, didn't ya?  Of course you did.
I think that my last post mentioning how lazy I've been was kind of a mistake. Because all of a sudden, life seems to have gotten a LOT busier.
This last week we had a lot of visitors.  My mom and stepdad came down from Canada.  It was nice to see them, and they took the kids and I to the Aquarium in Sandy and the Dinosaur Museum in Lehi.  We started the day at the Aquarium, and we had a lot of fun...the last time we were there, it was only half the size it is now, so I would recommend going to those that haven't been in a while.
And then we were off to the nearest Target...because Sydney peed all over the front of me while we were looking at the South African fish.  I'm going to just say it:  PAMPERS are NOT what they are cracked up to be.  Buy Luvs--you won't be sorry.   After purchasing a new shirt, we were then off to the Dinosaur Museum.  I'd never been before, and we all really liked it.

I REALLY liked that part.  :)

Riley loved reading the factoids around each exhibit.  She can remember all of it, and always amazes me with the stuff that she retains.  However, they didn't have anything written up for this section...and I think we all know why:
I was kind of surprised that this arrangement of bones wasn't vetoed.
Syd did her best at trying to replicate the facial expressions of each prehistoric creature she was stopped next to. (For those of you with dirty minds, I didn't park her next to the above display).

Syd was great the whole time.  However, a consecutive three hours of wearing actual clothing is just too much for her.  So she decided that she was done wearing them.

Coincidentally, this is why I haven't had a lot of pictures of Syd.  Although I think she's adorable in her birthday suit, and she seems to think it's the most comfortable outfit she owns, it doesn't transcend that way through photographs--instead coming across as creepy and uncomfortable.  And that was our day.  Big thanks to Mom and Scott.  They entertained all of us the entire time, and trust me, it's not easy.  I've got a lot more to write about, but I've got to pace myself.  Hope this gives you something to read as you're pretending to work, and all of you have a good Monday!

I LOVED pampers with Lukas. Until he grew out of Pampers swaddlers. Then I discovered LUVS. LOVE them! Way cheaper. Plus I tried pampers with Blair and she would pee through them in an hour. Looks like you had a fun day. I want to take my kids to the aquarium.

how did you know that i'm pretending to work right now? :) that's pretty funny that she can take her clothes off. story can only take off tank tops and diapers so far. (thank goodness). is that why she peed on you? because she was naked? just kidding.
glad to see she loves her blanket.

We have been wondering where you have been but I can't talk because I haven't been a good blogger lately! I can't believe how grown up Riley looks- she's growing up so fast. Also, I love, love, loved the humping dinosaurs - that would have made my day!!! :)

Oh that display is beyond funny. Who isn't taking credit for their nasty comment though?

hey! I keep checking blogs JUST to see if you have blogged yet. And today you did!

I personally am a Huggies gal, but I really didn't give Luvs too much of a shot. But maybe one day. But I agree PAMPERS blow! (literally) I don't even look through there coupons they send me, I just throw them out.

Oh an ps, cute pictures of all your family. We will have to try out the Aquarium again its been like 3 years now, so its gotta be better right?

I'm still trying to get Lynus to take off his clothes by himself. He seems to have no problem staying a baby. And I have to agree with Amy, I vote for Huggies! But wish we were done with that phase all together!

Yay! A blog. I haven't blogged since February. I think I have blogger's block. Once this kid's out of me I swear I'll be better. I laughed out loud at the fact that Syd strips nako all the time. That is some funny stuff. Maybe the Dino's weren't humping... maybe one was just getting eaten. Riley looks JUST like you. She is so pretty. And your mother looks exactly the same as she did 20 years ago. That's really good news for you. You're going to age well :)I'm excited for your next blog. Even though I can't find time to blog myself I look at yours like 15 times a day to see if you've written anything yet. Now that is the epitome of lazy.

Hmmm... I think I just MIGHT have an idea as to who the "Anonymous" comment is from... LOVE IT! ;)
By the way, is there something wrong with taking your clothes off at the dinosaur museum? I was under the impression you're supposed to make the experience feel as real as possible. Do you see any of those dinos wear boxers? HIZZLE NO! Cute kids... wish I could have been there, but I had to sit in a box all day.

Brandi, Cole was great with Luvs, I bought them ONLY because they had that "no leak" guarantee. And they worked great from then on. I realized that it's HUGGIES that I have now that I love, but I love Luvs as well. Oh...the interesting things we talk about as adults. :)

Anonymous: I'm pretty sure I know who you are, too. And I couldn't have said that better, myself.

Kass-Aren't you always pretending to work? I just assumed we have that in common. And Syd LOVES her blanket. And with the colors of her new room, it matches perfectly. It's the best blanket ever, duh.

Sarah--Riley IS getting big. It makes me sad and proud at the same time. Weird. And those dinosaurs kinda did make my day. ;)

Kelli, I'm pretty sure it rhymes with "Aaron".

Amy--Like I said, I'm a Huggies fan, as well. But truly, Pampers are the worst. The aquarium is SO much better than it was. Also, I totally can't stop thinking about my beta testing your project. I'm stoked!

Shauna, I totally wish Syd wasn't such a fan of stripping. It gets a bit embarrassing at times. I'd prefer her to use her grown up abilities for something more useful...like cleaning up after herself.

Leah: My mom does look great, huh? I'm hoping that I look great when I'm in my 50s too. I keep checking your blog, too. Now I'm cheating in that I have the rotating blog reel thingy. ;) And thanks about Riley....I think she's so beautiful. But, I might be a little biased, I never know. I want to hear how your pregnancy is! Does it suck as much as last time? (maybe I'm just thinking that MY pregnancy sucked way too much last time)...

Love you, Moriah!

Chris and Muff: I bet you're right in your guess. And I wouldn't recommend anyone taking their clothes off at the dinosaur museum. I even got some looks while Syd was doing it...and she's only 19 months old. Any older, and I think we would have been escorted out. And I wish you would have been there, too. Next time we need to come up with a good excuse for you to be too sick to work.

Wow, I can't beleive I haven't checked email or blogs or anything since I left for Utah the middle of July! I loved this one! I can relate...since I was there! : ) We had so much fun going with you and the kids. Thanks for the compliment Rain and Leah! Made my day! Love you and your kids so much! I will do better keeping up with the blogging!
